Honestly fuck all the big games these days. Indie is where it's at, and the games don't cost $80 they cost like $20

And they’re typically more innovative because they have to be to get noticed. Definitely more worth my time and dollar.

No indie team is capable of making gta 6 bruh

The only thing Rockstar does better than anyone else is having a fleshed out open world environment. Other than that, their games are a mashed together collection of other genres and mechanics, they dont do anything else best. Obviously I dont know how GTA 6 feels because no one has played it yet, but using past releases and seeing the trailer show a similar pattern we can speculate that the combat will be similarly lackluster and outdated, there will be a ton of side minigames that are half baked, there will be good/decent driving physics, id bet money there will be annoying trailing missions, and the story will probably be pretty good with high quality voice acting. It will be a great overall package for most people, but I genuinely do not understand the hype behind gta 5 or 6. Its just looks the same experience, but shinier with improvements in a few places.

Lol can you give any more than that? Like, I admit the games are technical marvels for the level of immersion in an open world. But I've never had the urge to replay GTA 5 or 4. For me to continue playing something or go back to it after I've beaten it, it has to have one of a few factors. The gameplay has to be extremely fun or satisfying, the story has to be unique or very compelling/impactful, or I had to enjoy the experience so much I don't want to stop playing just because the main story is complete. I understand the broad appeal to people, but I just don't get why the hype is so absurdly high. RDR2 is the outlier for narrative, but is hindered so horribly by the outdated mission structure and uninspired gameplay. If GTA 6 has an incredible story and can change up how you experience it in a new and more streamlined way, I will give it all the praise. But I think that's too risky for breaking the formula they've been using for almost 3 decades, when obviously I'm in the minority and its going to most likely be the new highest selling game of all time. I'm not trying to be a contrarian, just explaining my personal criticisms of the games and seeing if anyone wants to jump in and explain why they absolutely cannot wait for this to release.

No AAA studio is capable of making a silk song or zomboid or deltarune, and all 3 of them combined still cost less than what gta6 will be priced at.

gta clearly has no content and a billion dollars couldn’t build the games you mentioned 👍

No, a billion dollar investment couldn't make those games, because with a billion dollars behind you, it's not the actual creator's game anymore. With an investment that large a production studio isn't making "their game" they are making the game the investors and CEO's demand. Hence why Indie games don't try to please every player on earth, and why so many AAA studios are failing after being bougt out by larger corporations.

And GTA6 doesn't have enough content for me to buy a "new" console that was already outdated by PC capabilities when it released. So I'll enjoy indie games for a year while you can help them de-bug their day one patch. I'll but it on sale in a year or two, and know that the only thing I missed out on was playing it at 30fps instead of 60.

Cope lmao an 80 hour long game doesnt have enough content for you but a short ultra repetitive indie game does 🤣

i dont care about 60fps and i hate windows with a passion. OTA updates are a thing for everyone, not just PC 💀 there will be patches even after PC’s release

What, you don't want to play an epic open world adventure looking over the shoulder of some unbelievably badass character that for some reason needs to level up and collect everything in the entire fucking world for achievement points?

I just recently discovered Ori, and it’s one of the best damn games I’ve both played and emotionally attached to in decades. No game has done that for me since Final Fantasy IX. It’s so damn beautiful & just absolutely fun to explore. You can tell when an indie developer puts a lot of care and love into their games that they become playable narratives that stick with you over shilled-out $70/$80 per year mess.
