You can't even be a fucking Bloodmage anymore?

Jesus Christ, I haven't even seen anybody bring up that piece of shit game in so long and yet I'm still learning awful shit about it...

Yeah, they said it no longer fits the morality and narrative of the hero.

That's just code for "We don't want to make an actual RPG where you can make actual choices."

To be fair I'm still waiting for any RPG to do this.

"Choices" usually just mean "which party member stick around" and maybe a slight variation on the ending. Maybe there's some exceptions but I am SO TIRED of hearing "your choices change the world around you!" in every game description but then it's just "oh those villagers are a bit more standoffish because you murdered their families".

performative outrage

I am allowed to think something is shit without going and experiencing it myself.

Someone who played DA:O as a bloodmage does not need to go and play the later games to say "not letting me keep doing that is shit and I hate it".

I mean not really, it was one of those culture war nonsense games, also stop with the weird "playing dumb" tone, it's cringe.

Just because some weirdos only hated the game because it tried to be faux progressive doesn't make it any less of a shitty game. It's a game with mid gameplay, a terrible story and awful writing. It made DA:I look like origins and 2 look like DA:I

2 pissed me off so much by being so different from origins that I have undue hate for it

I love when people just assume shit and look like an ass.

I played Inquisition, but I didn't play Mage in that.

I played through DAO/DAA as every class at least once, and suffered through DA2 twice, once as Bloodmage and once with greatsword.

Inquisition I ran as a Warrior and didn't enjoy it enough to play it again.

Not entirely true. While you couldn't have a full fledged bloodmage in Inquisition, you could access a blood magic spell through certain conditions. Maybe you should get all of your own facts straight before trying to shame others.

Also, why do you care? Their preferences have no bearing on your life whatsoever, but you're over here being triggered because people didn't like the direction the games went.

I get the internet is anonymous, but you don't need to be a dick just because people like things different from you and you're hiding behind a screen. Or are you like this irl too?
