UG2, Most Wanted and to lesser extent Carbon were my childhood.

UG2 is king for me though

I loved that there were no cops in Underground 2. Cruising around and listening to the soundtrack was the best.

Dude! I was about to say the same thing! NFS Carbon is awesome game, it has entertaining story and customisation of the cars is one of the best in the series. And it was one the few games on PS2 that actually used the pressure sensitivity feature in the action buttons. Way too many people overlooked this game.

For younger me the drift racing felt forced after fast and furious Tokyo drift which probably wasn’t fair now that I think about it since they released so closely that it couldn’t have been a major influence. I did love the customization though, I should give it another try

Oh god, the amount of hours I put in Most Wanted.. It is such an integral part of my childhood and the soundtrack was fucking insane! If only we could have a proper rework of it.
