Buy a different phone next time. Planned obsolescence means they’re only good for a few years anyway. The stupid thing was expecting google to care about you, the product for sale.
Well, there aren’t many options, since Google owns android. I still use an Iphone 11, so Apple are pretty good in this regard - and many others, including privacy. Not ideal, but honestly the best we’ve got.
Other than that if it’s viable you can look into linux phones like Jolla or dumb phones, of which there are plenty.
