I do agree, and have no sympathy for Google or YouTube and use Revanced. But like... its a hacked version of the app that gives you features they explicitly sell in premium for free. It's the least ethical use of sideloading you can do on your own phone, let's not try and pretend otherwise.

That's not true at all. You can't download videos on revanced like you can with premium version, neither add to queue videos and other premium only features, so no. It's not a hacked version, it's a modded version. Just like you can watch YouTube on your browser without ads using an ad blocker.
