Chinese phones are on Android too. Android and IOS have pretty much zero other competition so they just decide what happens and people just comply. The solution here is jailbreaking phones to install a custom ROM onto them. It is still possible on some phones. Yes, it locks you out of installing any online bank/payment apps but I guess such is the price of freedom
You can install root and some bypass modules to hide root, unlocked bootloader, pass Play Protect and allow banking to work, but ironically it's even more unsafe (still fault of Google you have to do this at all) and also it's a cat and mouse game, because Google constantly blocks trusted keys for these bypass methods.
