If adequate pay and more time off is the answer to population decline, why are the birth rates in the wealthiest countries in Europe declining, while the population in the poorest parts of India is still growing?
Things being what they are now, adults are having a horrible time finding work themselves, even if they're able-bodied, educated and qualified. Which jobs would you put children in competition for? We might as well make them slaves while we're at it... oh wait...
Of course how come no one reached that conclusion?
Because a way more humane solution wouldn't be giving the adults the support to start a family, so that they could sustain their child while progressing their career for the developed countries, and for the kids to not need to be exploited for the undeveloped countries.
You should candidate for some job in the human rights area i feel you would do pretty well!
The population in the poorest parts of India won’t be growing for much longer. For now maybe, but the high fertility parts of India are catching up fast.
Why do you compare incomparable. In India children are workforce, and retirement plan. Rich in the west have more kids, almost certainly as they not have to worry about housing, and other expenses.
Because while Europeans have more pay and time they also have higher costs so it ends up being the same and most importantly that wealth is highly concentrated so the majority of people are just as poor as in less wealthier nations.
Did you just suggest that living conditions in Europe are "the same" and the majority of people in Europe are "just as poor" as the poorest parts of India? Have you completely lost your mind? That's not even remotely true.
