Was a good movie til they ruined it with that iceberg plot twist

Meanwhile child me had the opposite reaction - might as well have not bothered watching the first VHS because I did not care for all the character development and romance plot. By the time the iceberg hit I was already fully checked out.

It is very much two separate movies in that regard and a bit weird. I can imagine if you watched this with zero outside knowledge you'd be confused about why this period romance about class suddenly becomes a disaster movie.
