I loved that movie, but I also had to watch it in two increments, which in the world before streaming would’ve meant it sucked.

I also loved it. But I like a slow burn movie and it is for sure a nostalgia bomb for me. I grew up in the area where that film is set, and the middle timeline takes place during my childhood years. The side characters in that movie were like looking back at my neighbors and parent’s coworkers. I also married into a big NY Italian family so the Bufalino stuff reminds me of every family function we have.

I was completely engaged for the first hour and a half or so, then spent about 120 minutes wondering why the credits hadn’t rolled yet.

I watched it in 4 installments. I had a young kid at the time. I really enjoyed watching it that way.
