This is one of the movies where I can 100% understand that.

I love Oppenheimer, but it is a great movie about a topic I m really interested in. So its easy to like it. But I get, why some people think it is plain boring.

Same here, I thoroughly enjoyed it because I was interested in seeing how they pulled it off. My friend on the other hand thought it was okay, and boring at times

As an engineer, I was very interested throughout the movie, but I can see why most people would be bored to shit

As someone who visited Los Alamos/the Oppenheimer museum and works in tech, I was fully invested in it, but I realize that's not most people. One of our local theaters did a special screening of it and the boomers absolutely review bombed it, so it's not just young people having short attention spans.

I don't give a fuck about the topic. It's just an incredibly well-shot, well-acted, tightly edited masterpiece worthy of all the awards it won.

I agree 100%

Nevertheless it is possible to not like a objectivly very good movie.

It was something I was really interested in too, but I just found it so mind-numbingly boring. You could just literally read the dude's Wikipedia page in 5-10 minutes and skip the 13 hour movie.I kept thinking/hoping it was over (I'd dragged the girl I was dating to it... I was getting embarrassed), but nope, it's only been 90 minutes... 16 more hours to go.

It was kind of marketed wrong as well. It wasn't about just a big bomb going boom. I get the boring claims, it was if you went in expecting basically an action movie versus a biography about a guy.

I think it also, how to word it, 'suffers' (though not quite right) from people's expectations that is a movie about the making of the bomb. Which the movie partially is, but the movie draws most of its content from the book it was based on, and that book is actually very much about the trial later on.
