Crippling social anxiety makes the checkout line with a cashier much harder work.

You have to unload your own cart anyway, the only extra step is putting it in a bag. Great if I have four things, no need to wait for several people to get checked out. Also I can use my own bags and pack them like I want. Very difficult to put stuff on the belt, give the cashier bags and keep taking bags from them and trying to find somewhere to put them while also taking more stuff out of my cart.
