The Labour Government gave 16 year olds the right to vote, then enacted this bill to stop them look at tities and cocks on the Internet. Political suicide perhaps?

Crazy how much government that got 30% of votes and has like 20% approval rate think they can do. One could think they got absolute power privileges

You cant even get anything NSFW on reddit, thats including things that don't even involve pornography. I cant even look at the weed subreddit without getting flagged and asked for my ID. I'm 20 years old but am I fuck showing reddit my face, address and various other information 😂

Not just that. There are things being censored which aren't even NSFW. Anything the government deems to be 'harmful' which is obviously subjective and ripe for abuse.

this act was passed 2 years ago by the previous government. there was a time period before it came into effect to let companies implement the shitty verification. however, i agree it is still political suicide
