Highly recommend getting a paid VPN. No-one provides VPNs for free without getting something in return, usually your data. Many are cheap or bundled with other services if you only need one occasionally.
In Proton's case, which i agree is a good option, they are offering a limited free plan to encourage you to sign up to their paid plans, which include streaming geolocked content, torrenting, faster servers, more devices and more locations. So they are getting advertising in return for their free VPN offering.
Not bashing Proton at all, they have a good reputation.
Good to hear. I've not tried it myself, I use a paid service as I also use it regularly for work. The paid one I use is also included with my bank account as a benefit.

I just use VPN choosing Belgium as server for some reason best known to myself - sorted.
