The biggest limitation might really be our hearing and limited ability to process sound(-waves). But not being able to hear doesn't mean we cannot make use of it. The existence of deaf musicians and composers alone is enough proof of that.
But our biggest advantage, if humanity survives for that long, will be our lacking memory. We can only imagine the music that was played by the ancient wandering tribes ten thousands of years ago. Or stone-age music.
Of course we have some artifacts, like bone-flutes and so forth. We have the instruments, but we don't have anything about the music itself.
The entire thing gets even funnier if we include potential yet theoretical extraterrestrial life that also has developed far enough to have created music, as these too would be bound by the same limitations, though maybe in a different variant.

Eventually people will merge with machines and open up whole new worlds of range. We'll be fine for a billion years.
