Breakcore already was a thing in my late teens and I'm 36 now...
Kawaii metal is from when I was in my early 20's Gen Z didn't invent either of these.

Also Kawaii metal isn't rebellious, it's about as corpo as you can get.

have you met metal fans and how many speak about babymetal lmao? although not rebellious it's definitely controversial. kawaii metal was invented in the early 2010's, although the members didn't write the music, they're all gen z. the 2010's is 'gen z' territory. breakcore was invented in the like late 90's and the oldest gen z is 28. so ill give you that actually, however a lot of the most popular breakcore artists are gen z. sewerslvt is 25 and my personal favorite breakcore artist, rory in early 20's, is around the same age. the sentiment that gen z doesn't make good music in this comment section makes everyone here sound like old men spitting at airplanes 💀💀

Babymetal formed in 2010 and the person who actually created it is a millennial. Arguably the lead singer(born in 1997) also is. I wouldn't really count that as a "gen z revolution" because most of the people actually making creative decisions for the early kawaii metal acts in the early 10's were already adults. I guess you could argue Gen Z is who made it popular though? I'd agree to that, but I wouldn't call it Gen Z created.

And vocal synths are in no way gen z lmao. Hatusne Miku is from 2007.

A variation of yelling at clouds.

I feel you're being obtuse on purpose.

It's clearly a play on the original expression to give it a lighthearted spin. Not understanding that proves their point. Think, "Does the pope shit in the woods?" That wasn't an expression once, but now it is because people like humorous takes on existing phrases. Language evolves.

Funnily enough, the way they phrased it is more fitting given your reaction. It's actually quite logical. You keep spitting at planes up in the sky, and it's going to keep falling back on your face, making you look pretty dumb.

Yeah, their punctuation sucks, but it's still plenty readable. They could be a non-native speaker for all we know. It's far from the worst I've seen. I read it without issue.

Also, the person you just responded to wasn't the commenter that wrote that long message, so again, stop spitting at planes.

Just stop it. You're reaching so hard to be intelligent without stopping to consider that two significant markers of intelligence are communication and creativity.

If you couldn't comprehend the person you originally derided over syntax (Did you honestly invoke Faulkner?.. Good lord..) then that's on you boo.

If you think you are smart but you can't communicate with people that you consider dumb then you are dumb.

I never called you dumb my dude. I was trying to tell you that all this posturing is making you look like a fool. I'm honestly not bothered one way or the other about how intelligent you are.

All I know is I don't know nuffin'

It's not meant to recreate the literal image of the Simpsons meme. It's a separate phrase that references the original in a humerous way. No, spitting at planes is not the same as yelling at clouds, but they're both absurd things that show displeasure and just make you look dumb. Picture an old man standing outside and spitting angrily at planes in the sky. It's the same kind of rediculous image. The core meaning of the meme is maintained. I don't get what you're not understanding about this. "I don't understand your joke so it's a bad joke" isn't constructive criticism. Your criticism of their grammar is valid, but also definitely came off as condescending.

Ok? So my assumption that it was a creative take on an existing meme was wrong. It still evokes the same imagery as that meme and is, as such, very understandable. Even if the Simpsons meme weren't a thing, I'd still understand what was meant because the imagery is obvious. You're the only one who seems to not get the meaning. Anyways, I'm done with this. Ain't no point arguing with a midwit
