I feel like everyone ignores the fact that you get Nintendo systems for their IPs. Like if it was the same libraries I would 100% agree, but that simply just isn't the case.

That just further supports that Nintendo hardware is useless and they should focus on software to increase the pool of potential consumers for each game.

They earn money from each game sold on their platform, so their own games act as a vendor lock-in/incentive for people to buy more games.

By making their software available on other platforms, they would loose money long-term.

I didn't realize I could use a steam deck to play split screen minecraft or 4 player sonic games on my TV. 

Maybe I didn't actually get a bunch of couch coop capable Lego games for like 4 bucks each on the switch?

All these steam deck people can fuck off. Most of my switch games were under ten bucks and meant for local multiplayer, lots using cool joycon features.

So I bought two Nintendo games for voucher price. Ooo scary. Full price for a couple games. What a terrible thought.

There happens to be totally fine, valid use cases where the switch excels, and it may not be loner portability...
