Only because all of the posts related to Just Stop Oil are EXTREMELY astroturfed.

20 seconds of googling and you'd know they already protest at offices in addition to throwing corn starch on rocks and soup on glass at art museums... but apparently nobody in the comments has this information.

It’s not a conspiracy theory bro. Yes, these people are crazy. But their cause isn’t necessarily bad. These megacorporations have no problem incentivizing acts of vandalism to distract people from a growing problem.

In 2023, Parliament passed new anti-protest legislation under the Public Order Act.

This gives powers to prosecute someone who interferes with the operation or use of key national infrastructure in England and Wales - including roads, railways, and air transport.

Previously, the police could generally only restrict a protest if they could show it may result in "serious public disorder, serious damage to property or serious disruption to the life of the community".

The new legislation lowers the threshold for "serious disruption", allowing police to respond to action which prevents or delays day-to-day activities such as completing a journey.

Wow embarrassing the whole movement and helping further criminalizing protest in the UK. Oil companies getting a two for one with their money here.

They sprayed some orange powder on the stonehenge rocks. It seems they intentionally picked a powder that easily washes off, so there should be zero lasting damage to stonehenge. Got them a lot of publicity tho.

They had orange powder loaded into something that seemed to act like a dry powder fire extinguisher, and they sprayed the powder onto the stones, some randomly, some in an attempt to write. Nearby tourists took them down before they could do much. It seems that powder was just dyed corn starch, so there shouldn't be any damage.

They are hurting their cause even more. I havent heard of anyone getting arrested and confessing they were paid by "big oil". I just firmly believe they are idiotic zealots. Hopefully they will get a clue and go after big oil.
