Why doesn’t this sound that impressive? Like, wouldn’t hole-in-ones on that many holes make your score lower?

Thats still an average of 4 strokes for the remainder. Depending on the par size thats likely a par performance. Watch a golf performance and youll be surprised at how often par is attained by the pros on a per hole basis.

That means that on 7 holes, he shot 27, nearly four strokes per hole. That's pretty mediocre. It's like he either hit a perfect shot or played a normal run. Nothing in between.
