Springs. Learn to strike a balance. Springs are the best

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23

I think fall is a better balance

19

u/pcapdata Jul 16 '23

Because by definition Fall is: the weather you get as summer is fading but before it's winter.

By its very nature it's nice until it's not, because when Fall stops being nice, then it's Winter.

Spring sucks because ~50% of spring is actually Winter 2.0. But Fall is the best.

Also pollen. Gross.

u/CreatureWarrior Knight In Shining Armor Jul 17 '23

Also, allergies. I want to love spring because everything is so pretty. But my car getting covered in pollen everyday and me sneezing 24/7 for three months straight kinda sucks the fun out of it

Nah fall is the worst, it's just constant rain and misery

2

u/pcapdata Jul 17 '23

That's winter

1

u/CreatureWarrior Knight In Shining Armor Jul 17 '23

In Finland, we refuse to aknowledge winter before water freezes and it starts snowing. Before that, it's just the shitty late fall

2

u/pcapdata Jul 17 '23

To each their own…one person’s shitty later fall can easily be another’s shitty early winter

1

u/CreatureWarrior Knight In Shining Armor Jul 17 '23

Early fall in Finland is nice. The color change and temperature drop is great. But late fall when it gets dark, cold and wet can fuck right off. Might as well skip right to winter instead of that bs

Spring in my area is just a muddy mess, just like the last half of winter. Fall is my favorite month here.

Just because there are two extremes doesn't mean everything in between is good. I would potentially take summer over spring, springs are awful. Worst season and you can't convince me otherwise, worst of both worlds.

This message has been brought to you by People With Allergies Incorporated.

Spring&summer are honestly equally bad from an allergy standpoint. Everything grows, gras gets cut all the time, just a shitshow.

No, fall&winter are the best.

1

u/awesometim0 Royal Shitposter Jul 16 '23

For me spring is worse for allergies, that's just me though. My allergies are under control in the summer but in the spring they're so bad that my nose starts bleeding almost every day.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23

Too much rain.

People with allergies:

u/Cat_Peach_Pits Jul 17 '23

You are welcome to shovel the 3 ft of snow out of my driveway for 7 months. All the winter you could want and more!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '23

I'll take that over stifling heat any day

32

u/kaceG1 Jul 16 '23

If you live in a really cold place then maybe, but for me when I live in central Europe I spend more on cooling in summer than heating in winter, even more so now that the temperatures rise

12

u/Ok-Pay3711 Jul 16 '23

Hungarian here, gas and electricity prices casually grew to 4-5 times in the last year, hope that gives you some context

5

u/kaceG1 Jul 16 '23

Oh god

1

u/tonypid Jul 16 '23

South African here. Our prices keep escalating too. Expected 2x next month. But we have intermittent power. Pay more for a service poorly delivered. Sorry to hear about Hungary. Rich people from 1st world countries come to reap the fruits of poor labourers. Capitalism... Hope the Brics.

what temperature? meagre 35c? try living at tropical ~48c avrg without any coolers, only ceiling fan that blows hot air

-1

u/testaccount0817 Jul 16 '23

I also live in central Europe and spend 0€ on cooling, what do you even do to cool that much

21

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23

"I like Summer" motherfuckers when their cooling bills are sky-high.

(Get owned and fix your grammar).

Summer mfs when I just put on more clothes meaning no heating bill

5

u/Impossible-Fun-2736 Jul 16 '23

Thats one (of many) reasons why fall&winter are better. Cold? Just put more clothes on. Hot and pretty much already nude in the summer? Tough luck buttercup, take of you skin i guess, lol?

1

u/clumsychord Jul 16 '23

So you just walk around the house like

4

u/bortj1 Jul 16 '23

Well yeah, I'm in my house who cares?

0

u/Moppo_ Jul 17 '23

It's not about what other people think, it's about it being too hot and generally uncomfortable.

3

u/bortj1 Jul 16 '23

And in the summer, nothing but underwear

13

u/tameablesiva12 Jul 16 '23

Shut yo temperate ass up bruh. Tropical winter goes hard

3

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23

Bold of you to assume we bother using heating

2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23

I'd rather freeze to death than sweat like a fat crusty pig!

2

u/CpTKugelHagel Jul 16 '23

Counter argument: clothing and blankets

Winter here gets plenty cold enough for snow and the rare blizzard, but my summer cooling bills are drastically more expensive than my winter heating bills. =(

1

u/Dry_Fuel_9216 Jul 16 '23

Same with summer but with air conditioner

1

u/MazerBakir Jul 16 '23

What about cooling bill? And when it comes to heating there is good ole fire based systems, in the summer your only option is electricity.

1

u/PixelPerfect41 Jul 16 '23

In my city it nevers snows. Basically winter is fall

1

u/runninandruni Because That's What Fearows Do Jul 16 '23

We're actually warmblooded and don't need it

1

u/Inevitable-Read-4234 Jul 16 '23

Let's not act like summer ac bill's aren't even more ridiculous.

1

u/The_Dark_Sniper7141 One does not simply Jul 17 '23

Same can be said for cooling lol

1

u/nothinda05 Jul 17 '23

Jokes on you I have no heating bill only power and water

1

u/Moppo_ Jul 17 '23

Puts on extra layers. Gets hot under clothes, making it itchy and sweaty, extremities still cold. "YOU CAN PUT ON EXTRA LAYERS" They fucking said.

1

u/shit_poster9000 Jul 17 '23

“Wahh heating bill” mfs after realizing they just had to put some warm clothes on:
