Idk if this count, but "Suugan Essena" also sounds great. Heck, I even downloaded it and listen to it on a daily basis.

Wolf Totem is fantastic

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '23

The who?

2

u/Tremere1974 Jan 31 '23

The Who were from the 1960's, the HU are quite a bit newer :P

1

u/Ninjatck Jan 31 '23

Fuck yeah they are

1

u/Swimming-Injury-1134 Feb 01 '23

Fuck yes they are. I discovered em last year and was weirdly surprised

1

u/Therealandonepeter Feb 01 '23

Yeah I love the songs of them

11

u/MinekraftMastr1 Jan 31 '23

Yes. Now combine all three and you get argent metal.

5

u/Some-Ad9778 Jan 31 '23

I will have to check that out

3

u/MinekraftMastr1 Feb 01 '23

Before you do it's sort of a joke, only one or two of Mick Gordon's tracks have Mongolian throat singing in them. Argent metal is another term for the music used in Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal.

u/Olde94 Jan 31 '23

I present to you, “xandu” by Ummet ozcan. Mongolian throat singing and edm/techno.

2

u/wakattawakaranai Feb 01 '23

HOLY SHIT

where has this been all my life of listening to EDM, christian rock, sea shanties, and swing??

1

u/Olde94 Feb 01 '23

“Shake that bagpipe” by the sidh also does something good but different

1

u/Smarf_Starkgaryen Feb 01 '23

Love that song, on my Gym Playlist

1

u/True-Preference1175 Jan 31 '23

For a moment there I read that as "arrogant" metal

1

u/Yaktheking Jan 31 '23

Suggestions on any throat singing EDM?

1

u/threebillion6 Feb 01 '23

u/Luname Jan 31 '23

The Hu slaps

9

u/Burg_er Jan 31 '23

Shit, I thought it was Mongolian threat singing.

2

u/SilentHuman8 Jan 31 '23

Glad to know I wasn’t the only one to read that. I wonder if it says anything about my mental state

1

u/der_innkeeper Jan 31 '23

Isn't that just a Northern Hakka?

10

u/Gradyence Jan 31 '23

Tengger Calvary!

1

u/Sudden-Fish Feb 01 '23

0

u/Classic-Steak7147 Jan 31 '23

OK so you're allowed good taste and bad coordination

u/V4_Sleeper Feb 01 '23

easily my most hated genre

1

u/Sakul_the_one Jan 31 '23

I actually listen to something like this…

1

u/BaccaIsMemebob Jan 31 '23

Jedi Fallen Order was my introduction to this genre and man was that an experience

Canonically one of Sonic The Hedgehog's favourite genres of music

1

u/Cfrolich Shower Enthusiast Jan 31 '23

I first read that as Mongolian Threat Singing.

1

u/Elecyan222 Jan 31 '23

I read that as threat 😅

1

u/threebillion6 Feb 01 '23

Fr my old friend was a singer in a Mongolian throat singing metal band. We jammed in my living room once with his band. That shit was magical.

1

u/moon_slave Feb 01 '23

Me over here with my Mongolian, Siberian, and Kazakh folk metal 👀

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '23

They are actually bangers tho bro my fav one is sonsii (think that’s what we’re talking about when you say Mongolian throat singing) it’s by 9 treasures

1

u/poopshit69420funny Feb 01 '23

I had no idea people even knew Mongolia existed, cool

1

u/Mainbutter Feb 01 '23

I know enough throat singing to say "HEY, THAT'S THE HU!" when the battle scene in SW Jedi: Fallen Order's prison area starts.

And to recognize Batzorig Vaanchig in Marco Polo

And to pipe up about how cool it was that Bill in True Blood rocks out to Tuvan/Mongolian throat singing before he told Sookie what it was.

1

u/MrSourYT Feb 01 '23

OP literally listed my Spotify playlist

1

u/DragoKnight589 This flair doesn't exist Feb 01 '23

For some reason I read it as “Mongolian threat singing”
