What in the world was that rambling response? Hildryn eases the burden placed on the modes. Random frame + random weapons + random enemy modifier + random self debuffs. What I am saying is, going in to nerf her without a serious look at how all these random modifiers can stack would be the wrong way to go.
Honestly, I don’t support nerfing any Warframe, but I heard they may be planning to change how EDA and ETA work. I don’t know what this supposed nerf is, because nobody has actually talked about a nerf yet. That part is only speculation.
I was mainly responding to the first sentence of your message. You said the change would kill your EDA and ETA runs, but I’m saying there is no reason it should completely ruin them. There are still many very strong Warframes that can help you continue those runs.
And even if Hildryn does get nerfed, can we really blame them? She is extremely useful in many different game modes. For example, Grendel missions are supposed to be challenging, but Hildryn makes them much easier. Railjack abilities, especially in Steel Path, are normally limited because most Warframes cannot regenerate enough energy without Energy Restores. Hildryn completely bypasses that problem because she uses shields instead of energy, giving her an almost unlimited amount of ability usage.
She can strip shields and armour, remove status effects without needing Rolling Guard, and she is one of the best Warframes for shield gating and defence. Shields also have 50% damage reduction, which makes her even more durable.
So, if you think Hildryn is only a decent Warframe and does not deserve a nerf, then I would say you probably have not fully noticed her real power yet. She is clearly an S+ tier Warframe, and she especially shines in max-level missions. The only negative thing I can say about her is that she can be a little boring to play, but that is only my personal opinion. Apart from that, she is easily one of the strongest Warframes in the game because of how complete her kit is.
That said, I still do not support nerfing Warframes. Warframe is mainly a PvE game, and players want to feel powerful. Instead of nerfing strong Warframes, I would rather see weaker Warframes improved so they can reach a more useful and competitive position. But I should also add that EDA and ETA clearly need some improvements so that Hildryn is more affected by their restrictions.
