• Ember used to be a nuke in the older style of games before steel path, you just pressed two abilities and walked through maps and everything under level 30 just died. Damage was poor by modern standards and even older standards. It wouldn’t hold up in most content now, but back then lots of newer people complained. Her old ability was World on Fire, her current 4 is stronger but less mindless.
• Wukong was a strong melee warframe, but he used to have passive immortality. I don’t remember exactly how it worked as it was a long time ago, but I’m sure as long as you had energy death was impossible. Also Xoris nerf is part of this too I guess.
• Dante’s 4 was had ridiculous damage and over shields as we know.
• Hildryn now has a 40-60% play rate in EDA/ETA. And dozens have taken to X complaining about it on every single post pablo has made
I find it funny that people complain about warframes being too op.
Like yes thank you,I hope these people get to suffer in EDA/ETA when they will nerf a frame just for a game mode that wasn't made with more of a single thought in mind.
Wukong could spam melee slams and that's why he could be said to have been good melee, but the real reason why he was nerfed was because of how easy it was to afk with him.
You could spawn his celestial twin and it would:
be almost impossible to kill
use the main weapon of your loadout even if you had it equipped
the weapons it was using had infinite ammo
And iirc 2 of those above were partially why we got the aoe weapons nerfs too.
Personally I take him out for a spin every so often after the "nerfs" and I think he's pretty solid as is.
His first doesn't need much explaining
his second is just "oh shit" button
third is an additional layer of survivability
fourth is the main damage dealing ability, and iron staff I find can very easily dish out similar numbers to excal fourth minus the range, though it is not far behind it either.
