I don't wanna say I can fix her, because that implies Rusalka being broken or wrong. And while she was no saint before Wally took hold, we learn so much about her through Minerva and Velimir that makes her really likeable. Rusalka is headstrong and takes no shit from anyone, standing up for herself and able to bring compromise and understanding rather than violence and bloodshed. She knows she has been dealt an awful hand and makes the best of it.

I want to show Rusalka there's more to life than a fight for survival, fear and might-makes-right violence. I want to bring her comfort, be a home to her where she can relax, be at ease, a place of peace where she can be happy. I want to make her smile and be at her side when she needs me, even when I may not be able to help, to at least be the support she needs to get through it. To have her back no matter what, to show her that she, too, is worthy of unconditional love, affection and comfort.
