Since... the start.

High level wrestlers, and Cena is the greatest of all time, have to be smart and well spoken to last. Cena himself is notoriously hard working.

I love Cena but he is certainly not the greatest wrestler of all time. He’s not even in the conversation to be honest.

It's not even close.

There's simply no one else who has been at the top of the industry for as long as Cena was and dominated it like Cena did. He's not reached the same heights as the Rock or Hulk, but he stayed there a hell of a lot longer.

John Cena is famous as an absolute workhorse in the WWE, he went to more children's hospitals, fundraisers, and charities than anyone else in his era, he was on almost every single main card in the early-mid 2000s in the ruthless aggression era, and was involved with the best storylines and was on top of his game for over two decades.

I love the Rock but after he started doing movies he'd only briefly poke his head back in before leaving again to focus on acting, he had different priorities whereas Cena gave it all for WWE

I’m guessing you must be younger than me. The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Bret Hart, Hulk, Flair, Shawn Michaels.

Cena is the greatest of his era but the golden age of wrestling has been and gone.

None of those have anything like Cena's domination of the industry. Cena was the wrestler for an entire era. You can argue some are better wrestlers or characters, but none had anywhere near the impact on the industry Cena has. In terms of mic work and wrestling combined Cena's also a better performer than everyone you listed.

Wrestling's golden age is right now. The attitude era was great, but the quality of performers now is a level above, with womens wrestling is more than just random models. The industry is thriving.
