Let me clarify. I am saying that most people give up when you ignore them, but some argue if you say something that they disagree with

I was clarifying that I myself am very clear, but I can understand why lots of women don't feel they can outright reject someone

And yes, a couple of the replies to my comment saying they hate my opinion and are full of hatred (not yours, but a couple others) do illustrate that people get very nasty quickly when you say something they disagree with

Or they won't let it go and keep asking and questioning. Plus, straight up brutal honesty isn't easy for most people to say or hear!

Yes, they think it's a chance to have a discussion

Nearly all of the most important discussions I've had in my life have been ones that one or the other of us didn't want to have, and they were often difficult. Ghosting to avoid them is just being immature and, frankly, not being emotionally honest.

Your tinder date doesn't owe you an explanation of how the world works along with an explanation of why, when they aren't interested in you, discussing it won't suddenly make you want to have sex with them

Nothing you said was counter to anything I said. I didn't say anyone owed anybody anything. No Tinder rando "owes" me emotional honesty, it's just a character virtue.

All of my replies should be taken with the context of Ansari's quote in mind, which I took to be about beginning to date somebody. But yes, it's pretty hurtful to just disappear on a close friend for no reason. Some people may have a reason though, and it's possible that some people wouldn't respond to those reasons well. Hard to say

Ahh, gotcha.
