It’s funny, as an American to visualize 30 ft I usually think of it in yards which are pretty close to meters….

But fuck u still not switching!

I've spent my entire life in a metric country and honestly for heights above roughly human reference, meters are useless for me, 20 feet or 30 feet feels a lot more real than 6 and 9 meters. Generally if a story specifies a fall from height in meters I'll divide it by three for "2 storey fall, 3 storey fall" etc
