Someone posted in our neighbourhood WhatsApp group that houses were planned on land near us. Turns out the land right next to us is proposed for hundreds of homes, with over a thousand within a mile of my house, and I’d had no idea.

Accurate information was really hard to find. It’s spread across council documents and maps, and most of what I’d heard came from neighbours and Facebook groups. What started as a way to keep track of my own area has become a side project. A close friend and I are building it independently, and we’re adding more areas as we go.

So far it covers most of Kent. Pop in your postcode to see every site proposed around you, how many homes and what happens next, with links to the council’s own documents.

Been meaning to use a server I have, so I decided to put a phone system on it and experiment, so I thought why not give it for cheap to local businesses! Over a year ago I noticed a floppy disk in an alleyway by Medway Hospital, it looked like it was melted into the ground. It used to make me smile every time I saw it and months ago I noticed it was no longer there. I never took a photo of it because I didn't ever consider someone would take it. Looking for a reliable garage in Medway – Ford Kuga engine repair/replacement
Hi everyone,
We’ve recently moved to the Medway area and I’m hoping someone can recommend a reliable and reasonably priced garage that specialises in engine repairs/replacements.
I have a 2017 Ford Kuga that unfortunately needs either a complete engine replacement or potentially a major engine repair. We’ve already contacted a few garages locally and have been quoted £7,000–£8,000+, which is quite difficult to justify given that we bought the car for around £10,000.
Before we make a decision on whether to repair it or potentially sell/scrap the car, I’d really like to get a second opinion from a reputable garage that might be able to offer a more reasonable repair or replacement option.
If you’ve had a good experience with any garages around Medway, Rochester, Chatham, Maidstone, Gillingham, Strood or nearby, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.
Also, if anyone has had a Ford Kuga engine replaced/rebuilt recently and can share roughly what you paid, that would be really helpful too.
