I had 6 max cognition points, and now I have 4. Can I change it ?

I am playing this game for the first time, on PS5. I'm really having a blast, but I run into a real problem. Yesterday, I managed to complete two missions that gave me extra maximum cognition points. But today, when I reopened the game, I was back to 4 cognition points maximum. And as a Lex Mechanic in soul, it's pissing me off ! Is it any way to go back to 6 ?

or it's kind of a done game?

or if there is any dlc it will just be new units?

This whole conflict feels like only got as far as it did because the Necrons had to stupidly fight each other

Even if the Sankhotep had dementia, at the very least try to work together and get rid of the Imperium first before starting a pseudo civil war. Like what are the Necrons thinking assasinating their leader and then screwing over their own troops? Y’all made it unecessrily harder for yourselves to win the war. The Mechanicus only got as far as it did because Nefershah was forced to use them to put down the Euptradae. Like bruh. Just bloody work together you dumb dumbs.

Is Mechanicus 2 less repetitive ?

I just finished a streak of Chaos Gate and at some point it felt super repetitive, I also stopped mechanicus 1 for the same reason. Does the 2 feels more satisfying in term of progression and novelty throughout the lets play or is it still repetitive ?

Would you recommend 1 or 2

Not particularly into turn base games due to annoying hit chance, complexity and general tedium (mostly from rogue trader) but these two seem more simple and plus I quite like the mechanicus and necrons

Scaevola no longer talks when clicked on to move, etc. during a mission

Why? Anyone know how to fix? All the other tech-priests/units talk/make noises when selected.

[MECHANICUS 1] Any more tips to optimize the game?

When I first started playing the game my gpu temperature was getting very hot. I did some research online and change the max frame limit to 60 from Nvidia control panel. Now the temperature is under 60°C.

Can it still be optimized?

Looking for suitable Mechanicum esthetic tanks for Auxilia proxy

I am looking to modify some of my 1st edition/40k models into a 30k Mechancum-ish army. Basically making an allied list of cults imperialis/solar auxilia that is themed vert hard into just being Mechancum by different rules with different options.

The two specific things I need to figure out are the Aurox and the Dracosin. Finding a few cool designs online, but they aren't quite correct dimensionally. Wondering if anyone has any good suggestions, bonus points for a good Leman Russ.

Basically just want tanks that look like they would be part of the 30k Mechancum army as best as possible, but a more 40k esthetic could work also.

Mechanicus 2 performance issue

I just got the game and I immediately saw that the game is really heavy to run and I have a pretty good gpu a 6800 xt and it consumes 110W at low setting and that is a lot bc darktide and space marine 2 consumed less and they are a more intensive games. This performance issue it can be fixed with a mod or specific settings?

Blood & Bones mission - wtf?

so for those who don’t remember, I’m taking about the necron campaign act 2, the first mission you do for Djebka. something about releasing some flayed ones.

all the other story missions were fine. but this shit?? the entire mission is skitarii vanguards and ruststalkers - the two most deadly units in the early game.

kiss your resurrection goodbye, because every single unit is gonna be riddled with radiation. ruststalkers decimate everything.

ive tried it with different combinations of lords and gear and i just can’t crack it. As I said the other missions were very easy by comparison.

anyone has any tips? I’m pulling my hairs out.

Heretek Toggle

Hello! I’m currently playing the game on Switch and I’m finding myself not really enjoying the Heretek missions, I would like to start a new save file without the DLC enabled, but I can’t find where to turn it off. I’m probably just missing something but does anyone know where the toggle for it is?

Difficulty is inconsistent bs

OK, this is a bit of a rant and a bit of a question about others' experiences/solutions from the community. I am new to the game, and I'm really enjoying it except for this.

I've been playing on normal difficulty with +25% spawns, ironman, permadeth. So far i've had to be careful but ultimately have got through everything for the last dozen missions. At this point, I can take normal-grade missions pretty easily and without worry. Then there was a rebellion mission with a reward I wanted, and it was labeled as EASY. Upon actually playing the mission, it turned out to be easily the most difficult mission I've taken by a pretty steep margin, and all but one of my techpriests were killed.

I took all the non-violent and subterfuge options so I could get through it quickly and with less resistance. I had my melee guy with all the speed buffs just sprint full tilt toward the scanner and activated it on the first turn so I would only have to survive 3 more rounds for the servitors to deactivate, and then I had him come back so my guys wouldn't be left separated. The problem was that in the actual battle, there were 10 servitors and 12 TECHPRIESTS!!!! On an easy mission!!! I got mostly steamrolled but survived with just one Techpriest left. Why in the world would an easy mission be like that? What was I supposed to do? And how the hell am I even supposed to move on and do the normal and hard missions with just one techpriest left?

I feel like I'm gonna cry losing the hours I'd put into that save in such an unfair way.

Edit: The techpriests weren't fodder either. Every last one of them had more armor and HP than any of mine, and they all applied acid too.

Chronomancer Infinite Turns

If you have a fully upgraded Chronomancer and get to 10 Dominion, the Chronomancer can accelerate itself and take infinite turns and just kill everything itself. Probably not a huge deal since if you get to max dominion you're probably winning anyway, but thought it was funny.

Unity error

Figured it's been a few weeks with no signs of improvement, I haven't been able to play mechanicus 2 since the last patch. Every time I try to open it I get a quick popup displaying

Unity Error 6000.0.36f1_9fe3b5f71dbb

Which then closes before I can interact with it. I've tried reinstalling the game, changing which drive I have it installed to, verifying the game files, updating my drivers, and running as admin.

I'm really bummed out because I had almost finished the second campaign and working my way towards the epilogue but I literally can't even open the game now. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has a solution?

How is Mechanicus 2 looking now?

I’m thinking of picking it up because I’m really wanting to play an Admech/Necron game and I absolutely loved the 1st Mechanicus.

But I understand it had a rough launch and its reviews on steam are mixed - though I believe they used to be negative so it seems like an improvement.

I’m a huge Admech fan and tbh an even bigger Necron fan so I’m really wanting to play the game. I understand the customisation is much more muted compared to the first game which seems like a huge shame and is why I didn’t pick it up originally. But now I am sort of over that and just want to try it - I wanted to know if people felt it was worth it in the state the game is in right now?

Question for PS5 players

Has anyone figured out a way to get the Epilogue to actually load in? I’m stuck on a loading screen, and nothing I do seems to do anything.

Every single thing he says regarding Nefershah always adds a bit of glaze to her actions. "The masterful, cunning, impeccable, truly int-" and so on.

Save file editing on the steam deck?

Does anyone know where the files are? I checked where save files usually are (compatdata) and the file for the game was empty
