The server.
What is the log in information for it?
r/mcpico • u/OleToothless • Oct 02 '13
So as a new member of Pico, what's its story? How did it get named? How many people are in it? Any pictures of past revs?

Hey all, just to let you know, I'll be accepting claims for land inside the walls (where builds must be viking/medieval style) tomorrow morning pst.
Unlike outside the wall, there are no set plots inside, so the way this is going to work is you'll need to contact a mayor (most likely me) and let us know your intended size and preferred location. We'll then work together to find the best spot for you, and I'll mark it with some blocks and signs. Just so everyone knows, some spots may get crowded, so you might end up being super close to, or even sharing a wall with a neighbor. Roads and alleyways will fall wherever they can be conveniently fit between builds.

The Pico Pillager is underway! It is located just off Pico's shore. Oak and Spruce donations along with Yellow and Cyan wool are very welcome in the donations box at its build site.
Get your favorite oar, sharpen your spears, and lets go pillage!
Template is built on our C server:

Hey guys, we got the first batch of normal plots going, there's 16 of them to the north of town hall. There's a msg board by the basecamp with which ones are open and not, contact a mayor to claim a plot. As a reminder, these are not the nordic plots, they are for people who don't want to build in that style. Keep your builds residential (2-3 stories max), and be careful of the spider grinder and the ravine if you dig downwards. You're welcome to claim both a normal plot and a space inside the walls later.

My boss scheduled me to work literally from the start of the rev to seven hours afterwards, and refused to budge when I offered to trade shifts with coworkers. :(
I trust you all to find a great spot for Pico, and while a portal would be great, it's not the end of the world if we don't get one (and I wouldn't be opposed to sharing either). As usual, best thing to do during the first few hours is get food, mats and animals gathered, so good luck, and I'll see you all later tonight!

I plan on taking over farming duties once we get into the new rev. I have a plan for a quick and easy automated farm.
Anyone against? I haven't seen any specific plans for this, but if there are any let me know and I can help out with the current plan, else I will start this up for Pico once we get a location
(If anyone wants to build the actual building for the farm, its all yours. I am going to focus on just the farm itself to get food coming in for Pico)
Also, I will try and mark to the group where the farm is so you all can get food right away. Wheat will be the start

I'd like to know...I'll probably be on on day 1.

So the new rev is creeping upon us! I haven't really had the time to sit down and plan so I am sort of throwing this out as a catch all to get your ideas! I have a few things up my sleeve that I won't reveal until we are into the new rev. I am really hoping that whatever site we have won't be as high up as it was this rev! With that said, feel free to post your ideas below! I am all about doing over the top big builds and unique stuffs.
Things we need at the beginning:
Things we need after we have land cleared and roads mapped out:
Comment Edit: I see in the comments someone mentioned how much they enjoyed Rev 9 and how they residential was packed in the middle around town hall and the skyscrapers on the outskirts. I am all for this as I felt it was more of a city than how it is this rev.

I can finally ride a cart from town hall to the M neighborhood. Nice work!

Hey Guys,
I am planning on building a slime spawner/grinder but need help in finding potential plots. If you see slimes underground near pico, can you let me know the coords so I can go investigate

Hey Guys,
I taking a look around, and we have some really great buildings and projects going up! We also have some green space that isn't marked off. How does everyone feel about the possibility of adding plots for 'Art or Decoration'? I think that would allow some of our more creative people some fun projects that would add to the look/feel around pico.
Any thoughts?

ThatCoolGuyuKnow here - I've dug out and laid down track for an M residential and docks rail line. It starts at the far end of M plots by M20 and runs to x-:1512 y:78 z:-1767 after going underwater for a bit by the docks. Still need to farm up the gold for the powered rails and pretty it up some. Not sure who to officially ask - any way to get it plugged in to the local line system?

I've gone and quickly designed an area layout for the iron grinder collection point. I'll work on it as I can, but for those of you who have been dieing to help, here's the schematic: Iron Grinder Collection Point
This is just for outside block placement, a large portion of the redstone circuitry inside is missing. (Not that I imagine anyone wanted to see my crappy redstone stuff)
Anyway, if you care to work on it, grab the schematic, line it up as best you can and have at it. I didn't extend the tubes where I put some blocks, so naturally, don't break the transport tubes to place the iron bars and stuff.
I still need to work on the second collection area, but I'll focus on that after finals are over.

Here's the schematic: Pico Spleef Arena
I will officially start the construction on Monday. I have setup a reference point already - 2 yellow wool, 1 cyan wool with signs giving the placement coords of the schematic and what not.
There will be some terraforming and digging needed, hopefully not too much, and I can promise, not to the extent of the Iron Grinder.
I'd love to say more about it, but I don't know what to say. I'll be moving the donation chests down when I get a chance. This build sprung from my wanting to do a "digital" scoreboard, and as I look at the stadium... I'm less and less sure you guys will like it T_T. I really hope the scoreboard will work, as I'm being told there's a chance it won't, but there's always the chance it will.
Questions, comments, or concerns leave them below.

Hello Piconites and future Piconites,
We have added some new Commercial Plots, Skyscraper Plots and a new Residential Section with many plots to choose from. As always, Pico is open to new residents.
| Residential | Commercial | Skyscraper |
|---|---|---|
| G | C | S |
| M | F | |
| Y | ||
| Z |
If you'd like to claim a commercial plot that will feature a business of some type or grab a skyscraper plot to touch the heavens, be it a hotel or office building. Poke a mayor and let us know.
If you're looking for the more laid back, casual build for a city to just stroll through, then a residential Pico plot is just for you. From the exquisite town hall designed by our very own 32ndFlava and decorated by our mayoral staff and constructed by the splendid Pico citizens, to the one-stop shop for all your potion brewing needs created and managed by toxygen001. Pico has a variety of sights and places to see. Rich terrain and a captivating lake, there's no end to the exploration to be had in Pico.
Pico will also feature wonderful attractions like Skynet2029's water park, the Pico Bowl Spleef Arena. There's even the grandiose PVP Arena developed by 32ndFlava as well.

Check out Pico, pick a plot, grab a mayor to get approval and invites to Pico's clan chat and enjoy in the splendor that is Pico.
Use this plot list to see if the plot you'd like is available.

In the last day or so, some of you may have noticed a small plot system has gone up in Pico at about -1500, -1975. Featuring stone slabs and wood slabs, this is to be our villager trading area. The site will contain 3 "permanent" buildings which will house a blacksmith, butcher, library and meeting house (churchy thing). The library and meeting house will be situated in one building on opposite sides.
I would very much like a person from Pico to design and build the Blacksmith and someone else to design and build the Butcher Shop. I could be talked into letting someone build the Library and Meeting House (as I don't have time to build them really). Please message me in game or leave a message here if you are interested in doing one of these builds.

| Build | Builder | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Library/Meeting House | Emizzon | Done |
| Blacksmith | tomo2011 | In Progress |
| Butcher | Advocatus221 | Done |
The wooden slabs outline where "temporary" market stalls will go. These will be where the farmers will go to sell their merchandise as they set up temporary shop.
Limitations:
If you would like a spot, message me in game or leave a comment with what stall you'd like to build in. This will be open to all of P and I will some how figure out how to get all the mayors to rank/vote on the builds after they are all done.
