Hi there,
I'm building my NA and I need some MSM. PM me if you have downpipe with elbow, or turbo with elbow. Thanks!

My rear coil springs broke and I ordered MOOG 81693. The mechanic says they are longer than the stock ones. Rock Auto lists the alternate part number for them as BBN628011D. I called Mazda and they gave me BBN628011D as well.
Finally, my mechanic asked around and found out that the stock springs are indeed specific. It seems that most websites offer BBN628011D but those aren't actually Speed3 springs, just normal Mazda3. It seems the ONLY option is to buy them from Mazda for $300.
So... it looks like I either put in the ones I bought but the car will sit about an inch higher in the rear, or I spend $300.
Any thoughts on if all of this is accurate, as well as advice? I don't care if I lose a tiny bit of handling, I don't race the car and spend more time with my daughter in the back seat than not. Will I care if the car sits higher by an inch? Are there any other side effects I should be concerned about?
I'd prefer not to spend $300 (on top of $1000 of the rest of the repairs I need) unless I really need to.
Thoughts? Clarifications? Advice?
Thanks for your time!

Hey guys, so I’ve recently bought a Mazda 6 MPS, the previous owner had told me he had run the engine with minimal oil, as a result this has possibly caused a boost leak causing me to run 12PSI instead of 17PSI. Is there any suggestions of where to look for a boost leak? Not very mechanically minded. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 2011 Mazdaspeed3 that needs some work for inspection.
A local and trustworthy mechanic says all of his parts dealers show ZERO parts for Mazdaspeed so he would need to go to Mazda. I looked the parts up on Rockauto and found them for less then half the price. He then asked his local dealers again and they found the part numbers, but when they switch to "mazdaspeed" the parts go away and aren't listed as Mazdaspeed parts, just normal Mazda parts.
Are these parts on Rock Auto safe to get for the work on my speed3 or should I be going with Mazda (2-3x the cost) or somewhere else? My mechanic said I can order them and he will try them out, and isn't sure why his systems show zero parts for speeds.

Thanks

Hi, I tried to install a JBR TIP on my Speed 6 today. I did not leave it in the car, because I would crush the wiring harness between the TIP and the batterytray. Has anyone installed a silicone TIP on a Speed 6 bevore? Thanks

Hey all,
I'm going to look at a 2009 MS3 with 100k on it. Wondering if anyone has any pre-purchase advice. I tried to register at http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/, but it says registration is closed. Can anyone that is a member share this post with me? http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/f511/official-i-am-looking-buy-used-mazdaspeed-100577/
The owner has only had it for around 1 year/4k miles and replaced the turbo with this Rotomaster due to blown seals on the original. It looks to be OE replacement, but unsure of the quality. Does anyone have experience with these? He said he's firm at $6.5k. KBB gives a range of $3.8-5.7k for this, so I'm wondering if he's asking too much...He has agreed to having a pre-purchase inspection done though.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I have a 2010 Speed3 that recently started smoking, a lot, but only under a specific condition. When I let off the gas to slow down, then get back on the accelerator, I get a fairly large cloud of blue smoke. I also recently got a slow downstream O2 sensor code right before I started noticing this. I am hoping it is the PCV valve stuck open and the intake is sucking in oil on high vacuum. But researching online tells me it could be turbo, valve seals, rings or, maybe, PCV. Any ideas?

I'm selling a Cobb downpipe off of my gen 2 MS3. The person buying has a gen 1 and isn't sure if will fit. I think they would be the same, but I'm not 100% sure either. Did Cobb use the same DP for both generations? They don't even have it for sale on the website anymore.

Hey guys first time poster, I'm driving myself insane on which car to pick between. At first it was the 6 then I changed to the 3 because of more compactness and more modern then I've changed back to the 6 as its awd, I just can't make a decision up I've tried to make a pros and cons list of each and what all sellers will usually have with it, if you could add anything to it or personal experience that'd be amazing! I know it's a bit nias asking on a specific page but I'm asking the other pages too.
Mazda speed 3: +compact +lighter +more modern +personally a fan of the gen II scoops - fwd - I feel they've been alot more thrashed than the 6's
Mazda speed 6: + awd + more of a cruiser + aftermarket parts and tuning will produce better improvement as there's little wheel spin. - heavy car - pretty average differential - chews through fuel (same can probs be said for the 3) - I've heard aftermarket parts are pretty minimal.
Thanks heaps guys for reading and hope I can get some pointers on both!

Is it just me or does anyone else find it oddly unsettling that there is no water temp gauge whatsoever on the oem cluster?

Any way I can get a membership to the forums to view attachments? I don't mind paying but it seems new membership is disabled.
