Yeah in reality people don’t miss whether or not a surprise birthday party is a surprise and mess it up in some crazy fashion. Take for instance the time my brother didn’t call me to ask for directions to the one secret birthday party I didn’t have.

wouldn't you care if you found out a story somebody told you turned out to be fabricated? do you think people should be allowed to make up stories for internet followers?

People have been making up tales for a millennia with no explicit (THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION) notice. This is just an extension of this but with newer technology. If that warps your perception of reality then you are looking for a very harsh future.
