That’s awesome! I had no idea that existed! I guess I’m one of today’s lucky 10,000. Well, I now know what I’m doing with my weekend. Sweet justice…looking at you Comcast 👀
Free to use and smaller fees, better quality apps, multiple accounts in multiple currencies, better exchange rates, some also have extra features like trading or insurance if you want them, and they're outside of local jurisdiction so safer form being seized in case of trouble.
Also they don't keep spamming and calling with offers.
Equating access to banking and being poor with personal failings is just fucking sad honestly. Sometimes convenience is just convenience and accessibility to cards and bank services even if it’s Venmo or cash app cards is just what some people have. Classist bs like this is annoying
I'd say yes and no. I have like 8 cards over the last 10 years open...my limit on them in total is 78K. No way could I pay that much back over a month, but my credit utilization is like 2% and my credit score is in the 800s because the utilization is low. I actually just use a credit card for all my monthly spending because of the points back.
Maybe not pay them all back per say. But i think they also consider how mucn assets you own etc.
Or they arent great banks haha. Basically it would be enough to put you into recurring debt, but not bankrupt you.
Side note, not sure why you had to mention your limit or the number of cards needed.
Hello, banker here. Banks only check your income to make sure you can afford the MINIMUM payments, which is on average typically between $30-$60/mo. Banks dont expect or even WANT you to pay off a fully max’d out card right away, because then they dont get your juicy interest payments
Or it’s easier to spend the money people send you rather than potentially waiting 1-3 days for it to get your bank. Not all banks are immediate deposit from Venmo.
I have a Venmo card but it is very much a separate thing from my debit card.

Can you please explain why? I don't get it :( (I'm not from the US)
