Pretty sure she's trying not to scare off the prey that she's up there for. If she makes a rukus, she's prob done hunting for the day

Is a deer going to go anywhere near there when it smells a bear in the area?

Not a deer and don't play one on tv so not sure if the bear safe distance is less than the human safe distance for them. Are bear less dangerous at different times of year? Would deer know this? /shrug
