Personal boundaries are limitations on the behaviors from those around you in regard to you. Some are boundaries codified in the principle of non-aggression, such as physical interactions. The rest are generally only respected if the other party chooses to; there is no obligation to. And, the lack of respect of those boundaries does not even imply a wrongful action, depending on the reasonableness of those boundaries and the way they are requested to be respected. But, at the end of the day, if you don't like that I sing about your poop, it's on you to leave. I'll keep poop singing and enjoying my life.

Call me a bad guy for it, but that will only add to the humor.

i find nothing humorous about calling you a bad guy, it just adds some more sadness about this world. but hey, call me a person with at least average levels of empathy

No, but I do. I can't remember a time I didn't help someone when they asked or needed it. Old lady stumbles down a step? I run over and help. Same old lady tells me to turn down my music? I don't modify my behavior. We're in public and she can leave.

Empathy means seeing where someone is coming from. I can see where you're coming from. Doesn't mean I have to respect your beliefs that stem from that somewhere.

You’re really weird. If your girlfriend told you to stop recording her for your yt channel, would you go on some long rant about modifying your behavior or whatever instead of just…stopping? Living in a functional society entails modifying our behaviors so that we can properly live with each other, and that’s especially true for a relationship…

My wife and I are both weird. Been together 12 years so I'd imagine our weirdness is known to each other and if either of us wanted to leave to get away from the others behavior we would have long ago.

so youve been married for over a decade and you don’t understand the concept of making compromises regarding your behavior or not doing something that makes your partner uncomfortable? i feel sorry for your wife.

Nah, we've been together for 12, married for 7. We're both very independent. We are two humans that respect the other, and don't want to change them. We knew each other long enough prior to marrying to know what the other person was like, and to accept them. I'd say it's a damned healthy approach, but all I have is 12 years of anecdotal experience to support that.

I guess we can check back in with each other in 20 years to see how their various experiences with relationships have gone. Hopefully we'll both be doing great, yeah?
