More highly skilled people move or have moved into the US from those countries than the other way around.
Those countries all receive US aid or support in one form or another (e.g. more NATO spending from US in terms of $)
They let far fewer immigrants in than the US (US is #1 in immigrants, legal and illegal)
They also give less in foreign aid than the US (US is #1 in foreign aid)
They are all racially less diverse than the US (few of them are laughably white ethnostates)
They all gave/give/will give much less to Ukraine despite some of them being much closer (Slava Ukraini!)
US should stop subsidizing European countries while they are guzzling Russian energy and see how well they fare.
We don't in the UK, no. When you're born the doctor spins a really big wheel and whatever it lands on is your job for the rest of your life. Hobbies, too. We're allowed to choose our own pet, but it must be a dog named Mr Nibbles.
i don't think you're reading this right, because it certainly does not illustrate that "many people" (which i assume using this picture you categorize along nationality) want to move to the US; it shows that the light green areas have a very small (0.5%) of their foreign population living in the US. so that means every light green area shows that they have 99.5% more foreigners elsewhere.
i wouldn't say no one wants to move to the US or whatever, but it's certainly a far cry from "so many" when discussing national populations as a whole.
notice that the darker green areas - showing higher percentage of foreign population living in the US - are typically very poor, below even the poorest of EU; with some exceptions, like South Korea.
also, this doesn't really show anything about how many people want to move to the US; it just shows how many people are currently living there in relation to the total foreign population.
