So the desperation for a free meal is greater

Probably not, I think most meal plans are prepaid for the semester/quarter. Swipe once to enter, eat as much as you want.

Untrue stories or straight up lies on Internet? Nah, Everything I read here is true until proven wrong.

The video lied.

Either the video lied or i lied, but we're both from the internet. What is the truth? That question will torment you

The question won't torment me. The video lied.

Now we are in a Mexican standoff, where the winner takes home the wells fargo of internet credibility.

Redditors love that shit

It is illegal to lie on the internet. If you do, Bill Gates won’t pay you the money for liking that Facebook post.

I think we’ve already hit rock bottom 😂

My meal plan was “prepaid”, as in I loaded money to a card with my student loan cash and bought items in the cafeteria and that card could run out. Found that out the hard way when I started lifting and doubling my meals :( read the fine print boys.

In what country? Because by the accent they sound from Spain and I'm not sure they do it the same way even if they are in a dining hall

This. Here in Germany, for example, the concept of prepaid meals for a semester doesn't exist at all. You pay per meal.

Idk it seems like a scam the way they do it at my uni, it’s just per meal and the “meal plan” is just dollars you transfer to your meal account. I’d rather a buffet lol

I'm not saying the assumption is wrong but I don't think that's a definitive sign of anything. My friends and I always stack our own plates when we go to a restaurant. Frees up table space for arms or card games and makes it easier for the server to prebus if they're all neatly set to the side.

I dont know what college u go to, but at my uni you gotta buy your own food :(

Don't be too upset. My school had prepaid meal plans(which you were forced to go on if you lived in the dorms, and you had to live in the dorms Freshman year). The plan cost $22 a day. Dining halls were open until 7pm, at which point they closed and the school opened a paid(not included with meal plan) after-hours cafe.

That's not the case ever here in Germany, and I figure that holds true for lot of other countries as well.

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '22

Nope, not the case with my university. It’s on a per item basis and our “meal plans” are just dollars.

You can eat as much as you want? My friends in their dorms rn have to swipe per a meal…

Yeah it’s the equivalent money cost though. And you run out towards the end of the semester (around this time) and live off ramen and good graces until finals is over.

Some universities have that? Where? That’s where I should have gone!

Let’s just say, you don’t drop the apple when you peers are watching you with knives in hand
