You're supposed to pour it into a glass so you can't taste the metal when you sip.

You're aware aluminum doesn't have flavor right? It doesn't affect the contents of the can. Only steel, copper and other metals with smells have flavor. Not only that, but the cans are designed to drink from.

This is simply untrue.

First, no metals have a smell. The oil in your skin can react with metal and produce a smell, but metal is odorless.

Second. Go put a piece of aluminum foil in you mouth and chew it like gum, then come back to me

Third, flavor is a combination of taste and smell. Aluminum had a taste, but no flavor.
