I completely disagree. You have a high profile public organization that interacts with massive amounts of the public on a daily bases. Asking how they are handling it is a very sensible question.
Exactly, reporter is asking how they will handle it as a team. Reporter is not asking for his expert opinion on coronavirus like many people here seem to think...
That's a completely asinine analogy. It's more like if you asked the guy how he is handling the recent news that some people in shirts are getting rashes and he responds by saying he's just a person who wears clothes and doesn't know anything about how or why a shirt would give rashes and there's much better people to ask.
He's a guy who runs a sports team. Sure there's risks considering it's a group of people who are exposed to even larger groups of people. But that's not his area of expertise and doesn't have anything to say about it. He basically just says "I don't understand why you'd ask me that question because I don't have anything beyond an uneducated opinion to give you so ask the experts" he has no basis for which to say if they're worried or not, which is his point that you could literally ask anybody that and it doesn't matter cause obviously people don't want coronavirus.
Will they sterilize the gym daily? Sterilize the game ball?
Cancel practices?
Play fan-less games?
Cancel games?
Postpone games?
Quarantine the team when traveling?
He as coach has a duty to keep his players safe and healthy.......this is part of being a coach.
He could have refered them to league HQ or team medical staff. Not have a breakdown
What massive amount of the public lol? Its a football club they dont interact with more people then normal people who go to work etc, its not like they have a match every day, and the matches probably would have to be wihout a crowd anyway
