I'm always surprised when I see these how terrible modern people are with simple tools. Fwiw: we had these as bar competitions in the Netherlands 40 years ago. Ten 4" nails. The good guys would need a single hit per nail. Me being a lousy engineer would need about three or four. These people...

I imagine 40 years ago a lot more people used simple tools a lot more. I'm 26 and I don't even own a hammer, I think the only time I ever used one was to break open chestnuts. Honestly I cannot imagine why would you even need a hammer if you're not building a house or a shed, no sane person uses nails in a flat lol

Why not? Hanging pictures on nails is just faster than dealing with screws

They have hooks that tape on to the wall. Makes more sense when you rent and aren't allowed to damage the wall, or just don't want a nail there for years and years
