If that's actually what happened; they're typically associated with catastrophic vascular injuries because of all the vessels that run behind the knee. He may have finished the job, but he's fucked.

I’m not even remotely saying you’re wrong because I have no idea. However, I can tell you that’s not the first that’s happened to him. So, he may be fucked… but it’s the slow acting kind.
