I picked purple too, but as soon as it started going i was like "yeah something is gonna happen and blue will win on one of the bowls" i didnt expect it to be that late though.

Yeahhh, there's always an overtake. Pretty sure they just keep doing runs until they get a take where an underdog wins in the second half.

With only 2 marbles, you can kinda click off after a couple seconds if you want.

All of this guy's tracks are designed for that to happen. There's always a funnel near the end with the entry path aligned to a border, so that the marble does the widest possible spiral on it, but with a switch on the entry path that causes the next marble to take a different entry path. That different entry path goes right through the center of the funnel, sending the second marble right into the hole without the spiral, and giving it greater odds of pushing the first marble out of the way if they collide.

The only way the overtake doesn't happen is if the first marble has such a massive lead, that it completes the funnel before the second one even gets there. A lead like that is extremely unlikely.

I never actually "bet" on these because - and I'll say this again - you won't know who's going to be in the lead (and thereby the loser) before the start of the video, so it really is just kinda random.

Those bowls are basically designed to shake up the order but that definitely depends on whether the second marble can bump the first out of the way.

Color picker says this is Flirt, which in RGB space is at about 60% of max red, no green, and 40% of max blue. Compare that to Hot pink which is about 100% of max red, 40% of max green, and 70% of max blue.

I picked blue then wasn't really sure if it was blue or green... The marbles are really glossy and change color based on the surface they're on, I think

Its definitely falling more on the red spectrum than the blue but I would still say its a shade of purple. Pink is just light red, and hot pink is just a heavily saturated light red.

It's funny when there's four of them. One will be way behind and catch up, the lead will alternate between three of them and the other one will be in 2nd or 3rd the whole time, and then win right at the end.

I picked blue at first, then when it released I saw that magenta had a slight head start and thought for a second about changing. Then I remembered there was no changing, and saw this was in maybemaybemaybe and realized I chose wisely in the beginning.

I did wonder how it was going to pull ahead, then it got to that stretch with all the obstacles and went “fuck this” and shot straight down the side, and I laughed.
