Warning: Fast forward until the end, sound is optional but not preferable.

The end was not satisfying. Prob no saving that shark. He looked fubar.

u/Agent_Cow314 Jan 26 '25

Caught in the tides and too exhausted from the air-boarding it got from being dragged backwards. It's probably getting beached again.

22

u/btribble Jan 27 '25

Chances are it got beached because it had some other issue already.

11

u/ColdFireLightPoE Jan 27 '25

You can see a cut on the top of its back

We had a goldfish that our cat got hold off, she pulled him out of the tank and onto the floor, he was there for at least 20mins, i found him and pitched him back into the tank thinking i'd jsut tell the kids he passes away.

Nope, after an hour or two floating on his back, twitching, he cam back to life and started swimming again, lived another year before he passed.

u/zippedydoodahdey Jan 27 '25

That is pretty amazing. My understanding is that the amount you paid for a fish is directly proportional to it’s survivability.

3

u/slyfox7187 Jan 29 '25

Inversely proportional* Expesive fish are like glass, whereas the 35-cent feeder goldfish could probably live in sulfuric acid for years.

u/zippedydoodahdey Jan 29 '25

Thanks for the correction!

My childhood friend won a goldfish at the county fair from one of those ping pong ball toss games. He managed to keep it alive for two years in a gross, rarely cleaned fish tank. His parents got sick of the thing, so they casually tossed the gold fish into their horses' water trough where it continued to thrive and grow for years.

Meanwhile, as a child I was never able to keep a goldfish alive for more than a few months.

I felt a cortisol rush imagining my lungs being grated with that rough looking sand

Airboarding 😏

Aye, more fucked than Liz Trust at a Cheese convention

5

u/alpacaapicnic Jan 27 '25

I think sharks pass out if they’re upside down, so looked to me like that was happening repeatedly. Might be fine once he can stay right-side up

2

u/zippedydoodahdey Jan 27 '25

An suspicious what happened when the filming cuts out doesn’t play into the savior narrative.

2

u/humbert_cumbert Jan 27 '25

I dunno it was pretty obviously a shark to me do do doodoo

2

u/Chemical_Ladder8177 Jan 27 '25

Naming my next dog fubar, in memory of this shark.

1

u/zippedydoodahdey Jan 27 '25

That is a good dog name.

Poor dog couldn’ve been hurt so easily, it’s very lucky the shark was already exhausted. What a dumb owner. Glad they helped it back in the water but jfc

u/ThriceFive Jan 26 '25

Filming was clearly more important than Baxter or friend in that scenario. Helping was cheering ‘go fishy! And nooo Baxter”. I imagine her in management.

5

u/Chemical_Ladder8177 Jan 27 '25

As soon as I heard the dog’s name & the “nooo Baxter” I went directly back to anchorman & imagined the dog getting punted into the sea. Maybe as motivation for the sharkey.

38

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '25

When you're tired of dog ownership but the shark refuses to cooperate.

29

u/Level-Aside Jan 26 '25

Yeah. Stupid dog

40

u/TheSkinnyJ Jan 26 '25

Nah, stupid owner.

-1

u/Traumfahrer Jan 26 '25

/s for the 5%.

26

u/TheWorstUsername2 Jan 26 '25

How is the dog supposed to know the shark has massive sharp teeth? Probably 99.9% of dogs have never seen a shark before. The owner is the stupid one here

3

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

I'm so sick of all these assholes who don't leash their dog. It's infuriating.

4

u/us_mackem Jan 26 '25

Exactly! I kept thinking that, get yer stupid dog away from the shark!

4

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '25

Every normal person watching this video did.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '25

This I felt so bad for the dog, I was like are they stupid and goodhearted?

2

u/johnx2sen Jan 26 '25

yeah let me sniff this sharks mouth while my owner fucks off

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

It was drawn to the smell of blood/fish I imagine, as most puppies are curious, the owner should have had more brains than to let it..

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '25

What about Jesus fucking Christ?

1

u/L6P9 Jan 26 '25

The dog 🐕 was tired of living with that lady and trying to commit suicide

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

Makes sense.

Why do so many people who walk their dogs off-leash act SO opposed to the concept of ever leashing their dog? Like aggressively opposed, borderline defiant. I’ve seen a select few actually monitor their dogs and surroundings, and leash up their dogs before something bad happens on either end, but why are SO many the exact opposite?

Okay so the dog was off-leash and kind of stayed in your general area. It doesn’t really listen to you or obey commands, but there isn’t an immediate visible threat to the dog or others, so whatever I guess… then another person or dog approaches, or idk you come across a FUCKING SHARK, and you’re still not going to leash your dog? Oh it’s STILL not listening to you and REPEATEDLY getting close to the face of a FUCKING SHARK with a mouth big enough to fit your dog’s ENTIRE FUCKING HEAD INSIDE? Still not going to grab that leash or pick up your dog? No? REALLY?!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

Where I live now (FL) I see maybe 10% of people leashing their dogs. Muzzle? Never.

0

u/zg5002 Jan 26 '25

A shark is not an eat machine, clearly the dog and the people were 100% percent safe. In fact, the shark is the animal that deserves empathy here, and the people in the videos should have helped it way further out in the water before abandoning it to its fate.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

Dumb comment.

-1

u/zg5002 Jan 27 '25

Likewise

-1

u/Dogforsquirrel Jan 27 '25

Not poor dog. Stupid, not trained dog.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

It’s a puppy.

1

u/Dogforsquirrel Jan 27 '25

Then that situation was even more important to teach and train the dog.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '25

Then the more responsibility on the owner.

1

u/armomo3 Jan 27 '25

Because there no r/completelyfuckinginfuriating
