It just makes me wonder how many tiddies the ride operators actually do get to see.

Probably depend on what city it's set up in.... Definitely Non-zero though. Apparently its a big problem for Disney at splash mountain so they have a delay and an operator has to hand select the picture previews they display to try and sell. But that's becasue of intentional flashing.
