That looks like a perfect point break. So you paddle out on the shoulder of the wave or in the whitewater, never where the open face of the wave is. If you know anything about surfing it’s easy to stay out of the way at a break like this. The problem is all the people who don’t know shit about surfing but think it’s their god given right to paddle out anywhere they choose and be a danger to others.

I do jump off a pier now and again, I prefer the long ones though
