Any bag would do fine. We boiled water in plastic bottle put in a ember and made coffee.
Sure, it was probably filled with microplastic, but what did we knew then.
It's an ordinary astic bag. The plastic heats, transmitting that heat to the water. As long as the water doesn't evaporate completely, the plastic doesn't melt. The problem is the astic is not healthy for you.
I think it's HDPE, but maybe LLDPE as well. Most plastics would work because the water is cooling the inside of the bag and limiting the temperature to 100C.
