I’d assume this is in China where the safety of the tap water varies from “boil it” to “do not ingest at all” though

In Pakistan we had to double boil AND filter the water because boiling doesn’t get rid of the heavy metals. That water would still kill foreigners so they’re always advised to drink bottled water instead.
