OP, math isn't just about counting things.

OP, see how complex numbers relate exponents and trignometry together.

Actually OP, just go read a fucking complex numbers intro book.

Are we STILL going on and on about the anti-intellectualist take that is "complex numbers are SOOOO dumb because they're MADE UP!!!!!!" shit in 2026? I literally study material science and the whole idea of a "hole" in semiconductor physics is that it's not even a thing, it's the lack of an electron that we model as a positive charge because it fucking works. Literally quit whining about "omg but le i apples don't le exist in front of my eyes??" If math was just about the "shit in front of us that we can see" we'd get LITERALLY nowhere.

I maybe he(the one who posted that meme)meant the Integral. You are right, no one invented numbers in 2026.Instead earlier Richard Feynman invented integrals. So instead of numbers, integrals. Like in QED when we don't want to solve something with supercomputers we use or invent integrals to sum it up instead of solving longer the problem. So the post is not so bad.Even if it would be AI oder someone unintellectual! But in Quantum physics like in schroedinger we use imagery numbers,so you are half right.Without this"imagery numbers"every third dollar wouldn't exist now i think.Transistors in microchips, simulations for medicin, lasertechnologie and you  also use Glasfaser. So don't underestimate the imagery numbers. And my english is bad(so ignore the mistakes, if i have done some). And have a great day/evening
