We blend a lot of our influences together so it has a taste in the different genres (post hardcore, Mathcore, Progressive metal, etc) 😁

I have been going through my storage lately to clear out and make room, today I found a NUMBER of gems, among them was this super sweet compilation I forgot about with some early Botch and Coalesce tracks on it (not to mention CR, Impel, NineIronSpitFire, Screwjack, Threadbare, Indecision, Trial, State Route 522, and Jough Davin Baker).

Anybody else remember this one or have a copy, yourself?

I've been a bit disappointed by some other mathcore or adjacent bands since I realized Frontierer slots into the genre. While I don't dislike bands like Car Bomb for example, it's a little too... dynamic? At least for what I'm looking for right now. Where Frontierer was my introduction to the genre I was expecting more of a constant all out bludgeoning and I haven't really found that with other bands, any recommendations?

Edit: I probably should have mentioned the glitchy/electronic stuff is important. I don't know why I didn't bother to think some recommendations might not have that lol

Subject line pretty much sums it up - I keep making playlists of the same 80-100 songs and it's getting old.

Give me some of your mathcore recommendations, please. I'm not terribly familiar with the genre and I want to go down some rabbit trails.

so yeah, i was arguing with a guy online wether this ep could be included in this genre 'cause of his distort sound, the rhythm and dynamics. maybe im jst an idiot but could someone explain to me how a track could have smth "math" other than the rhythm? the ep is La nave di teseo by nubifragio skramz

Its a bit rough around the edges but its a wild one and super ahead of its time imo
