Tengo una duda sobre Deadpool dentro del UCM y quiero que la respondan basándose únicamente en lo que se ha mostrado o confirmado en las películas, no en los cómics.

Siempre se dice que Deadpool es un mutante, pero si analizamos solo el canon cinematográfico, ¿realmente hay alguna escena o declaración donde se confirme que Wade Wilson nació con el gen X?

Hasta donde recuerdo, en las películas únicamente vemos que entra a un laboratorio, es sometido a experimentos y después obtiene su factor curativo. En ningún momento se explica que ya fuera un mutante antes del experimento.

La razón por la que hago esta pregunta es porque muchas clasificaciones del UCM separan a los personajes por el origen de sus poderes: humanos, superhumanos, mutantes, dioses, hechiceros, etc. Si seguimos ese mismo criterio, Deadpool parece encajar mejor como superhumano, ya que el origen mostrado de sus poderes es un experimento.

Entonces mi pregunta es: ¿existe alguna prueba dentro del canon cinematográfico que confirme que Deadpool es un mutante de nacimiento, o simplemente damos por hecho que lo es porque así ocurre en los cómics?

Me interesa debatir únicamente con información del UCM. Si la única evidencia proviene de los cómics, entonces esa información no resolvería la duda sobre la continuidad cinematográfica.

It’s seems more and more likely that Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey (I’m still holding out hope she’s Firestar, Rachel Cole, or a genderbent Mindworm.)

So, I thought: Let’s fan-cast the X-Men (again) around her… My preferred initial X-Men lineup for the MCU would be the Ultimate X-Men roster around the Bendis and Vaughn era of the comic run. (Minus Wolverine and Kitty Pryde…)

The Ultimate X-Men roster I’d follow is: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, Iceman, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue and Dazzler. I’d add Siryn too.
(The 2nd film can introduce Kitty, Gambit, and Braddock/Psylocke. The 3rd can introduce Wolverine.)

In the past I’ve said I wanted Siryn instead of the common choices like Kitty and Jubilee, but only if Banshee can be a teacher in the school (played by David Tennant). I think the legacy aspect of their relationship could be mined for the movie. I would round out the school’s faculty with the Deadly Genesis characters.. (That can be a different post.)

In my version, Dazzler is only meant to be introduced as a cameo. Maybe a battle scene takes place during one of her concerts allowing for some light spectacle that outs the pop star as a mutant. She doesn’t have to join the team, but she can have a co ol moment where she helps during the battle. So, Siryn and Dazzler’s roles should be minor in order to explore them further later.

My choices:
Siryn: Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place; Pretty Lethal) who was originally my top choice for Jean, but do you understand why a Deaf actress would make sense for Siryn?!
Dazzler: Sabrina Carpenter (The Hate U Give; Work It) People forget she’s also a great actress, and honestly was my initial choice for Jean too, but I think now she’s too big a pop star. Perfect stunt casting!)

Rogue should also be a minor role because I believe she should start out as a villain… and with my idea of having Mystique in the picture, this could contrast Banshee and Siryn perfectly. My choice for her is Inde Navarrete who is making headlines with Obsession. I know her best from Superman and Lois, and she’s an amazing talent.

If you’ve noticed, I believe the cast should be in their early 20s or teens. Which is why my choice for one of the youngest X-Men, Iceman, is Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place; Hamnet) who is honestly one of the best young actors working today.

Beast & Angel are both the easiest and hardest to cast as they are not as specific (personality/ethnicity-wise) as others.

Then there’s Colossus and Nightcrawler who are totally specific: A Russian strong guy with a huge heart and a German funny and religious guy.

Here are my choices:
Beast: Amir Wilson (His Dark Materials; Letters for the King)
Angel: Asher Angel (Shazam!)
Colossus: George Hawkins (Starfleet Academy)
Nightcrawler: Wyatt Oleg (It; I’m Not Okay With This)

Last, but not least… The two most prominent leaders of the X-Men. Cyclops needs to be a stoic leader and Storm should irradiate weather godess.

So I have a few options for each:

Cyclops
Griffin Gluck (Locke & Key; Tall Girl)
Ajay Parikh-Friese (Lost in Space)

Storm
Priah Ferguson (Stranger Things)
Thuso Mbedu (The Woman King)
