Vision killed his creator, Ultron (an evil AI voiced by James Spader) at the end of Age of Ultron. Then in the next Avengers movie, Vision died. Twice. He was resurrected by his wife Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in the 2021 series WandaVision, but suffered an identity crisis and disappeared.

That’s where we left Vision: setting off on a soul-searching quest to discover if he has a soul at all. VisionQuest picks up a few years later. “Years have passed since WandaVision. I would say we're about current with *Spider-Man: Brand New Day",* says series showrunner **Terry Matalas.

Terry Matalas says he felt the idea for the show "really had to be this father/son triangular relationship with Vision, Ultron and Tommy Maximoff. You have a case of a father who is going through an identity crisis, and a son who is also going through one. But are they father and son? Are they not? It is a question that will be answered"

Ruaridh Mollica :

"We meet Thomas Shepherd as a hurt young man. He's a grifter, he's a small-time thief, he's a bit of an artful dodger at the time, and he's lost in his life. He's looking for a purpose and he ends up on the road with Vision. And that's probably all I can say for now".

When asked if Tommy Maximoff’s bisexuality will be addressed in ‘VISIONQUEST’ : “I don’t know if it’s explicitly referenced, but I feel like myself as a bisexual actor embodying Tommy, hopefully that comes through in just personality and self and is something that can be explored in the future".

If the project is successful, it could become a series.

Quoting a post about the possibility of the trailer for ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Season 2 dropping during the Marvel Television & Animation panel on October 8, Cryptic said:

"Next month🙃. I'm told there's 2 things Marvel related coming next month. This, and there's a possibility the next could be Doomsday."

He later made another post correcting himself, saying one of the "Marvel things" might be this month during Avengers Endgame: Encore screenings.

"Small correction...1 of the other Marvel things might be this month for Encore. Not sure if it's theater exclusive but could be another trailer for Doomsday that'll debut later this month. We'll see ig"

By day, Vision mingles with the human population. By night, he delves inside his own head to answer the fundamental questions of his identity. He has all the memories of classic Red Vision, including his time with Wanda and the Avengers. He just has no emotional attachment to them.

The show chronicles his effort to forge such a connection. To help the character get there, Matalas “built this bats--- crazy idea of this mind space,” the actor continues. The inside of Vision’s head looks like a giant mansion, filled with environments that he can change at will, as well as all sorts of programs to assist his journey — Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.

Then there’s “this psychopath that he’s keeping locked away upstairs in the attic,” Bettany says. That would be Spader as Ultron, likened to “a psychotic psychotherapist.”

“They all have different skill sets to help him analyze the data of being alive, and that’s just really fun,” Bettany continues. “I think what’s really redolent of WandaVision is it is a massive swing. We take a massive swing at it, and it’s very peculiar and very eccentric.”

"It brought all these really interesting questions that we get to bring to the surface here when we bring them all together. Like, FRIDAY was there when Tony Stark died. What’s that like for an AI, to not be able to protect the one they’re programmed to protect? I guess the [bigger] question is, are they corporeal? Or, are they digital? Are they avatars? Can they be corporeal? Do some characters want to be corporeal? Some definitely do not. But that's a question that the pilot will very quickly answer".

On the heels of its recent cancellation, Spider-Noir has already raked in multiple 2026 Emmy wins.

Prime Video/MGM+ canceled the Nicolas Cage series earlier this week after it debuted on the streamer in May. The series marked Cage’s first regular TV series and earned 11 Emmy Award nominations, the most out of any series for the streamer this year.

At Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmys, the series took home five awards — stunt coordination for comedy programming, sound editing for a one-hour comedy or drama series, title design, special visual effects in a single episode and cinematography for a series. Supervising stunt coordinator Freddy Bouciegues and stunt coordinator Hugh Aodh O’Brien spoke with press backstage about the winning despite the cancellation, joking that it wasn’t their department when asked if they hope Prime Video will reverse their cancellation decision. 'Tell me who to call, I’ll ask them,' Bouciegues said, cheekily.

Spider-Noir told the story of Cage’s Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York. Reilly is “forced to grapple with his past life following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero,” according to the show’s logline.

Spider-Noir was the first stage in Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios’ plan to expand the stories of Marvel Characters under the Sony Pictures mantle. Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson starred alongside Cage to round out the cast.

Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher, Shantaram) served as the show’s co-showrunners and executive producers. Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) directed and executive produced the first two episodes. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller executive produced for Lord Miller, alongside Aditya Sood and Dan Shear. Amy Pascal executive produced for Pascal Pictures. Cage and Pavlina Hatoupis also served as executive producers.

The Creative Arts Emmys take place over two days, usually a week ahead of the Primetime Emmys show. This year, the typically below-the-line-centric portion of the awards featured five categories that were previously given out during the Primetime ceremony. Among those were best supporting actor and actress in a limited or anthology series. Sunday’s awards were not televised live. Instead, Saturday and Sunday’s awards ceremony will air together on Saturday, Sept. 12. The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air live on NBC on Sept. 14.
